How a Snaphunt works
One person creates the hunt, chooses the setting and group size, and sets the reveal time. Players open the shared link or enter the six-character code in their browser, pick their name and protect their place with a four-digit PIN.
Each player receives their own photo challenges and completes them with their phone camera, three shots per challenge. Nothing is visible, not even to the host, until the album opens for everyone at once.

- What is a photo challenge?
- A group activity where each player gets their own set of photo missions to complete. The point is to interpret and capture the challenges, not to collect photos you already had.
- How does Snaphunts work?
- One person creates the hunt and shares a link or six-character code. Players join in their browser, get their own photo challenges, and the album opens for everyone at the reveal time.
- Does everyone get the same photo challenges?
- No. Challenges are dealt at random from the hunt’s pool, so each player works through a different list.
- Do players need to download an app?
- No. Share the link or join code and start playing from the browser. Installing it to a home screen as a progressive web app is optional.
- Can two people play?
- Yes. A two-player hunt works the same way, with each person getting their own challenges.
- How many people can join?
- The current create flow supports between 1 and 200 player places, including the host’s configured group size.
- How many photo challenges should each player have?
- Between 3 and 20. Short outings suit the low end; a full weekend can carry the high end.
- Can Snaphunts be used while travelling?
- Yes. It is built for trips, road trips, city breaks, holidays and hikes.
- Can families play?
- Yes. Mixed ages work well because the challenges are open-ended. An adult should supervise younger players.
- Can I use it for a birthday?

- Can I use it for a hens or bachelor party?
- Yes. There are guides for hens and bachelorette parties and for bachelor, bucks and stag weekends.
- Is this the same as a photo scavenger hunt?
- It answers the same search, but the mechanic differs: a photo scavenger hunt gives everyone one shared list, while Snaphunts deals each player their own challenges.
- What happens to everyone’s photos at the end?
- They stay sealed until the reveal, then the whole album opens at once. Download anything you want to keep before the displayed retention period ends.
- How much does Snaphunts cost?
- Pricing is per player and depends on how many challenges each person gets. The pricing page uses the same calculation as checkout.
