How a Snaphunt works
One person creates the Snaphunt, chooses the setting and group size, and sets the reveal time. Players open the shared link or enter the six-character code in their browser, choose their name, and protect their place with a four-digit PIN.
Each player receives their own hand of photo challenge cards. They use their phone camera to complete each challenge, with three shots available per card. Photos stay sealed until the reveal, when the group can enjoy the shared album together.

- What is a photo scavenger hunt?
- It is a group activity where players take photos in response to a list of challenges. The goal is to interpret and complete the prompts, not simply collect existing photos.
- Do I need to install an app?
- No. Snaphunts runs in a modern phone browser. Installing it to the home screen as a progressive web app is optional.
- How do players join?
- Players open the shared link or enter the six-character code, choose their name from the hunt and use a four-digit PIN for their place.
- How many people can join?
- The current create flow supports between 1 and 200 player places, including the host’s configured group size.
- How many photo challenges can players receive?
- The current create flow supports between 3 and 20 cards per person.
- Can I use Snaphunts while travelling?
- Yes. It is designed for city trips, road trips, holidays, hikes and other shared adventures.
- Can couples use it for date night?
- Yes. Create a two-person Snaphunt and each person receives their own challenge cards.
- Can I use it for bachelor or hens parties?
- Yes. The existing occasion options include bachelor and bachelorette events, and the same format works for bucks, stag, hens and hen groups.
- Can I use Snaphunts at a wedding?
- Yes. Wedding guests can join from their phones and complete candid photo challenges during the celebration.
- Can companies use it for team building?
- Yes. Snaphunts can be used as a photo challenge activity at offsites and team events. It does not currently claim a dedicated team leaderboard.
- What happens to the photos?
- Completed photos stay sealed until the reveal time. After reveal, participants can view the shared album and download photos before the displayed retention period ends.
- How much does Snaphunts cost?
- Pricing is per player and depends on the number of cards per person. The live pricing page uses the same calculation as checkout.
