Explore the City Through Photo Challenges

Look beyond the landmark checklist and turn streets, food, signs and unexpected details into part of the game.

See familiar streets differently

A city hunt works on holiday and at home. Choose one neighbourhood, a route between venues or an entire afternoon. Broad prompts let the city supply the answers instead of sending everyone to the same obvious place.

How a Snaphunt works

One person creates the Snaphunt, chooses the setting and group size, and sets the reveal time. Players open the shared link or enter the six-character code in their browser, choose their name, and protect their place with a four-digit PIN.

Each player receives their own hand of photo challenge cards. They use their phone camera to complete each challenge, with three shots available per card. Photos stay sealed until the reveal, when the group can enjoy the shared album together.

Play respectfully in public

Keep paths clear, follow venue rules and ask permission before making a stranger the subject of a photo. The best city challenges reward observation, not disruption.

These are inspiration for planning your experience. They do not add or change cards in the Snaphunts product.

Frequently asked questions

Can we use Snaphunts in our own city?
Yes. A Snaphunt can turn a familiar neighbourhood, food crawl or night out into a new activity.
Do we have to visit fixed checkpoints?
No. The existing Snaphunts experience is based on photo challenge cards, not GPS checkpoints or a required route.
