How to use photo challenges on a trip

Choose challenges that can be interpreted in different ways and do not require players to trespass, inconvenience locals or take unsafe photos. A mix of people, place, food and detail prompts keeps the results varied.

With Snaphunts, the host chooses the number of cards each player receives. The cards become each person’s private checklist, and the shared album stays sealed until the set reveal.

How a Snaphunt works

One person creates the Snaphunt, chooses the setting and group size, and sets the reveal time. Players open the shared link or enter the six-character code in their browser, choose their name, and protect their place with a four-digit PIN.

Each player receives their own hand of photo challenge cards. They use their phone camera to complete each challenge, with three shots available per card. Photos stay sealed until the reveal, when the group can enjoy the shared album together.

Keep travel challenges flexible

The strongest prompts create attention without dictating an exact photograph. “A doorway with a story” works in far more places than a prompt tied to one landmark, and every player can make it their own.
